Matariki Kite Day and Ceremonial Planting

At the entrance to the Stonefields reserve
Old Ihumātao Quarry Road, Ihumātao
Our SOUL Sunday event for July is a kite day in celebration of Matariki. Bring a kite or join our whānau workshops and make a traditional kite to fly.
We will also hold a ceremonial kūmara planting and a hīkoi to the stone calendar and navigation markers (more below).

Public meeting to protect Ihumātao

It’s been a year since our last big public meeting and it’s time to update the community on the SOUL campaign. If you’ve been wanting to know more or are looking for a way to contribute to the campaign, this is your chance!
The meeting will update you on the progress of the SOUL campaign to protect Ihumātao, let you know about future actions and give you the chance to have input into the campaign.
